It is generally more professional to sign a job application with a pen rather than a fountain pen. Using a regular pen is more practical and shows that you are focused on the content of the application rather than the style of your signature. Additionally, using a fountain pen may be seen as trying too hard to impress, which could come across as insincere. Ultimately, the most important thing is the content of the application, so using a regular pen is the best choice. **

The choice between a fountain pen and a ballpoint pen ultimately depends on personal preference and the specific requirements of the writing task. Fountain pens can provide a smoother writing experience and can be more comfortable for extended periods of writing. They also offer a more elegant and traditional writing experience. However, ballpoint pens are often more practical for everyday use in school, as they are less prone to leaking and smudging, and are generally more affordable and widely available. Ultimately, the decision should be based on individual comfort and the specific needs of the writing task. **
