For a pumpkin competition, a fertilizer with a higher ratio of potassium, such as a 0-20-20 or 0-0-50 blend, would be suitable. Potassium helps promote fruit development and overall plant health, which can result in larger and healthier pumpkins. Additionally, a slow-release fertilizer can be beneficial to provide nutrients to the pumpkin plants over an extended period of time, helping them reach their full potential for the competition. **

Look for a fertilizer with equal parts nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (N-P-K) to provide the necessary nutrients for indoor plants. Additionally, consider using a slow-release fertilizer to avoid over-fertilizing and damaging the plants. It's important to follow the instructions on the fertilizer packaging and to only fertilize during the growing season to support healthy growth. **
